 Alex J. Carabelli, Program DirectorAlex J. Carabelli works as Program Director for Grassroots Initiative. He is a graduate of Boston University with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and dual concentrations in Political Theory and Comparative Politics. During his tenor at Grassroots Initiative, Alex also worked as the Creative Director and Deputy Campaign Director for City Council campaigns. He has done media, political and communications consulting for organizations as diverse as the Global Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS, TB and Malaria, the Hoboken Southwest Parks Coalition, and the We Are America Alliance. He has received training from the Craig's List Foundation, the League of Women Voters, and the New York State Democratic Party. Alex is also a co-host of the Manhattan Young Democrats Weekly Political Podcast. He is a co-founder of the Abington Student Union and a National Young Leaders Conference scholar. In years past, Alex has worked on congressional campaigns in Pennsylvania, and for the Montgomery County Democratic Committee. Additionally, Alex has worked for the independent film studios Fine Line Features and Paramount Classics, and for SCOUT Productions.
