Sarah Malloy-Good, Program Director

Sarah Malloy-Good works as Program Director for Grassroots Initiative. During her tenure at Grassroots Initiative, Sarah worked as community outreach coordinator for the New York City Community Education Council elections where she served as a liaison to school districts around the city. Sarah has worked with marginalized communities in the United States and abroad. Her international work includes increasing access to education for former child soldiers in Angola, tutoring street children in Brazil and facilitating recreational therapy for people with HIV in Soweto, South Africa.

Ms. Malloy-Good has facilitated community needs assessments, and participatory action research focused at empowering local communities. Sarah serves as chair of the Ending Violence Against Women taskforce chair for the NYS National Organization for Women. She has a Master’s degree from Columbia University School of Social Work and a Bachelor of Social Work from Nazareth College.
