So you're considering running for elected office? Great! Grassroots Initiative will help make the process simple and easy. This year, county committee seats are up for election in all five boroughs for the Republican Party and in Manhattan and Staten Island for the Democratic Party. County committee seats are a gateway to higher office and a good starting point for individuals who are interested in developing their political influence or seeing their community better represented. To get your name on the ballot, you will need to collect signatures and complete a "designating petition" prior to July 19th. Your petition must be signed by at least 5% of the enrolled party members in your election district (on average, between 5 and 50 signatures).
