Grassroots Initiative is based in New York, NY and the city serves as the hub and focus of our current activities.

New York City is one of the largest, most densely packed and diverse cities in the world, making it a natural focal point for our work at Grassroots Initiative. New York is home to over 8 million people, representing over 180 different countries and languages. 40 percent of the city is foreign-born. The gross metropolitan product of New York is roughly $500 billion within city limits, nearly equilvalent to the GDP of Russia.

Our New Voices Campaign is currently active in each of New York's five-boroughs: the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and Staten Island. Our government and corporate initiatives, including the 'This is Democracy' Showcase, are national in scope.
